Colonel William C. Oates commander of the 15th Alabama Regiment, with NCO.   Despite several ferocious assaults lead by Colonel Oates, the 15th Alabama was unable to dislodge the Union troops, and was eventually forced to retreat in the face of a desperate bayonet charge.  (Limited to 400)

Captain Ellis Spear, Commander of Co. G, 20th Maine and First Sergeant James Rundlett. Captain Spear was well known for his pipe in hand and was the commander of the left side of the Regiment on the famous Bayonet charge, “the Wheeling flank of the right wheel forward”. The swinging and straightening of the left wing down the slope succeeded.
